HISTORY – MAPS TO THE HOMES OF HOLLYWOOD STARS
 
Maps to the homes of Hollywood stars began to appear in the 1920s, and increased in popularity throughout the “Golden Age of Hollywood.” The maps evolved, and became pictorial depictions of the star’s homes, studios, and favorite hangouts in the glamorous areas around Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Without actual addresses, these maps weren’t much more than whimsical views of the area that gave tourists a glimmer of hope that they would actually see a movie star, or at least go somewhere a star might be seen.
