This beautiful reproduction poster has been re-mastered from an early 1930's Gilman Hot Springs advertising brochure. This image shows a portion of the health resort/hotel that was originally established in the 1880s in the northwest portion of the present-day San Jacinto Valley, in Riverside County.

The vibrant colors and detail of this classic image have been painstakingly brought back to life to preserve a great piece of history.

The high-resolution image is printed on heavy archival photo paper, on a large-format, professional giclée process printer. The poster is shipped in a rigid cardboard tube, and is ready for framing.

The 13"x19" format is an excellent image size that looks great as a stand-alone piece of art, or as a grouped visual statement. These posters require no cutting, trimming, or custom framing, and a wide variety of these frames are readily available at your local craft or hobby retailer, and online.

A great vintage print for your home, shop, or business!

HISTORY OF GILMAN HOT SPRINGS

Gilman Hot Springs is located on California State Route 79, four miles north-northwest of San Jacinto. Gilman Hot Springs has a post office which was opened in 1938. Sidney James Branch settled the community in 1881, and built the Relief Springs Hotel there in 1888.

The community was originally known as San Jacinto Hot Springs, and was later named after William and Josephine Gilman, who purchased the hotel in 1913. The hot springs was a popular health resort, that advertised the curative powers of the hot mineral spring waters.

The hot springs resort was operated by the Gilman family for 65 years until 1978. By this time, interest in mineral waters had declined, and the general public’s vacation preferences changed in part because of their numerous travel options. The Gilmans sold the property to the Church of Scientology, who are the current owners.

The Gilman Hot Springs name appears on maps today, and most notably, Gilman Springs Road, the main highway through the northern portion of the San Jacinto Valley.
